We’re (Finally) Live
October went by in a breeze as we continued with the pre-production for Legion Hearts. This is the stage where core game concepts are fleshed out and the required work is put into a proper production schedule.
It may not be the most exciting part about game development, but doing sloppy work here will have a cascading effect on the entire development cycle in the form of delays or budget issues, so it’s paramount to get it right.
Hello World · Announcements
Now, I’d be lying if I said I wouldn’t prefer to hide in my development cave until the game’s done, but sources say that’s not a viable strategy with a pumpkin spice latte’s worth of marketing money. So we’re going to chronicle our complete development progress from start to finish instead, and build ourselves one of those fabled audiences in the process.
That means our dev blog will feature a new post on the 10th and 20th of every month right up to the game’s release. We’ll try to find a decent variety with the content, but if there’s a particular topic you would like to hear about, make sure to let us know!
Monthly Newsletter · Announcements
Next up is the newsletter you’re reading right now, providing you with a monthly progress recap as well as exclusive polls and access to test builds to get your feedback directly. But that’s not all!
Every newsletter subscriber will receive a special reward shortly before the game launches. It might sound sentimental, but you clicking that subscribe button does wonders for morale and we really do appreciate it.
We’re currently fleshing out the final details for Yggdrasil, and we will reveal the game world and its many different regions next month. We’re also making good progress with our combat system prototype, which we’re aiming to showcase before the end of the year.
I’d like to end this newsletter with a word of thanks. It’s a privilege to make video games for a living and pursue projects like this on a whim, and I absolutely did not get here by myself. Thank you to everyone who made this possible!
